Are you a Spike Milligan fan? I’ve been reading his war memoirs.

He recounts his time in the army during the second world war, seeing action in North Africa and Italy. 

There are some beautiful passages in the books, and obviously some very sad ones. There are also many hilarious moments!

He had such an irreverent sense of humour, it’s easy to see how he influenced later players like Monty Python.
